Obituary of Beverly Louisa Turechek
Beverly Louisa (Kausler) Turechek, age 81, beloved wife of 58 years to the late Francis F. Turechek of Stratford, died peacefully on June 6, 2016 at Maefair Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport, CT on March 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Louisa K. Kausler, and was a Stratford resident since 1957. Mrs. Turechek was a graduate of Warren Harding High School. She worked for the city of Bridgeport as a secretary to the City Planning Engineer in the Office of Planning and Zoning. Mrs. Turechek was a Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts of Housatonic Council for her daughter, a Den Leader for the Housatonic Council of Boy Scouts for her son, as well as a District Committee Member. She also enjoyed crafting and was an avid bowler. Mrs. Turechek and her late husband were founding members of the Boothe Memorial Railway Society at Boothe Memorial Park, Stratford. Survivors include her children, Cathy (James) Zadrovicz of Center Valley, PA and Frank F. (Maria) Turechek III of Shelton, CT; grandchildren, Cristin Zadrovicz of Newtown Square, PA, William (Cassandra) Zadrovicz of Perkasie, PA, Tina, Christopher, and Frank Turechek of Shelton, CT; and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Zadrovicz of Perkasie, PA, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Robert H. Kausler of Jacksonville, FL. Funeral Services are private. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, is in care of arrangements.
