Obituary of Doreen L. Tuccio-McGrath

TUCCIO-McGRATH- Doreen L. Tuccio –McGrath, age 58 of Derby, died peacefully on August 18, 2015 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born in Derby on October 12, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Samuel L. and Frances Biga Tuccio. Ms. Tuccio-McGrath was a lifelong Derby resident and graduate of Derby High School. She worked as the Manager of Fashion Bug, formerly of Derby, for over 17 years until her retirement in 2007. She was talented and creative music lover, skilled at arts & crafts and a fabulous cook and baker. The best friend to many, as well as voracious reader, she will be remembered for her love of animals and as a wonderful and loving homemaker. Mrs. Tuccio–McGrath is survived by her beloved daughter, Samantha (Jeffrey) Bruse of Derby; devoted siblings, Samuel (Betty) Tuccio of Ansonia, Robert (Irene) Tuccio and Joyce (Donald) Powell, all of FL; the center of her world, her cherished twin granddaughters, Jaymie and Amelia Bruse of Derby; as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral services are private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bruse Children’s Education Fund, made payable to Samantha Bruse, in care of the funeral home.
