RIP! He was one of the first Chouinard grandchildren and I was the last of that generation 28 years later. I spent most of my time with cousin Dickie outdoors hunting in VT or with Uncle Roger in MA. He was lightening quick and engaged in current event and political discourse with opinion but ALWAYS listened and was respectful even when he eventually told you you were wrong. He loved to laugh and was quick to see great humor in everyday life, especially when it was at your expense from his good-natured sarcasm. He kept his Viens family close and simply cherished Jean, Kelly, and his daughter's family. Of all the Chouinard grandchildren he got the Pepe Chouinard Midas gene - knowing somehow how to make money simply by walking across the yard. He shrewdly used that gene to build something for his family that they could share and will learn from. He never had the fastest car but drove every car faster than anybody else - CT state revenue must have dipped hard when he stopped driving. He spoiled his dogs before that was cool and was crushed when he lost a pet. What a fine, complicated, focused man that saw beyond himself to everyone's benefit. What a loss for our family.
