Obituary of Jessica Marie Young

Jessica Marie Young, age 35 of Naugatuck, formerly of Ansonia, died suddenly at her home on April 19, 2023.  Born in Derby on September 16, 1987, she was the daughter of Colene Ljungquist Hebert and her husband, Thomas Hebert of Naugatuck and Eric Young of Ansonia.  Ms. Young attended Shelton Public Schools and was an Ansonia resident for 18 years, before moving to Naugatuck a year ago.  She worked as a pharmacy technician at Rite Aid of Milford, prior to working at the CVS Pharmacy, Target store location, Ansonia, for over 15 years.  Jessica enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking, swimming and the beach.  She would tan as often as possible and could often be found at the gym for a good workout.  Her beauty, fashion and style endeared her to all.  Jessica’s love for her children, family and many friends were beyond measure and will be forever remembered.  In addition to her parents, she leaves her cherished children, Tiana and Tiffany Collins of Naugatuck and Augustine Gray, Jr. of Wallingford; a sister, Erica Young of Ansonia; a brother, Michael Ljungquist of Naugatuck; her beloved nieces and nephews, Scarlette and Ely Remele of Derby and Trinity and Connor Ljungquist of Naugatuck.  She was predeceased by an infant son, Dante Grey.  Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 6:30 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:30 PM, prior to the service.  Memorial donations to honor Jessica and assist her young family with financial obligations, are encouraged to be made at https://www.gofundme.com/f/jessicayoung.  Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememroial.com.
