Obituary of Lillian Zelanin

ZELANIN- Lillian B. Zelanin, age 77, of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Walter A. Zelanin, Sr., died March 22, 2010 at Griffin Hospital. Born in Shelton on October 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Louise Fratscher Blessing. Mrs. Zelanin was a 1954 graduate of Shelton High School and was employed with Sikorsky Aircraft and the Hartford Insurance Companies. A resident of Ansonia for most of her life, she devoted her life to her family. She will be long remembered for her wonderful cooking and love of music. Together with her husband, she enjoyed cruises to Mexico and Alaska as well as many trips and weekend getaways. She is survived by her devoted children; Kathy Chernovetz of Thomaston, Walter A. Zelanin, Jr., David and Russell Zelanin, all of Ansonia and Paul Zelanin and his wife, Wendy of Shelton; 7 cherished grandchildren and 2 cherished great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Stevens and brothers, Charles and Donald Blessing. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call on Wednesday March 24, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home.
