Obituary of Silvana Bizzotto

Silvana Bizzotto, age 71 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Francesco “Frank” Bizzotto, died peacefully on January 8, 2024 in the comfort of her home, with her family by her side.  Born on January 9, 1952 in San Valentino, Abruzzi, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Assunta Cichelli D’Atri.  Mrs. Bizzotto immigrated to the United States with her family in 1954 and settled in Derby, where they resided for many years.  A 1970 graduate of Derby High School, she earned her food service license and enjoyed a long career as a restaurant manager, until the time of her retirement.  Mrs. Bizzotto owned and operated her own house cleaning service for a brief time, prior to becoming her grandchildren’s daytime caregiver – a responsibility she thoroughly enjoyed!  Always steadfast and family orientated, she cared for her brothers in their time of need, using her sense of humor and jovial personality to lighten any situation.  Mrs. Bizzotto enjoyed trips to the casinos and writing poetry.  She will be long remembered for her special love for her family.  She is survived by her devoted children, Evana Juhasz and her husband, Eric of Naugatuck, Lorena Snell and her husband, Scott of Seymour and John Bizzotto and his wife, Marjorie Lobato of Seymour; a sister, Rosita Dzvileski, her husband, Mark and their daughter, Rhianen of Ansonia; and her cherished grandchildren, Hunter Juhasz of Naugatuck, and Giada and Nico Snell of Seymour.  In addition to her husband of 50 years, she was predeceased by her brothers, Bruno, Enzo and John Paul D’Atri.  Funeral services are private.  The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia is in care of arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
