Obituary of Beverly Taylor
Beverly Josephine Taylor, age 70 of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Freddie Lee Taylor, died peacefully on January 1, 2024, at Yale-New Haven Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Bridgeport on March 6, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Ida Antoinette Pires Porretti. Mrs. Taylor was raised in Bridgeport and was a longtime resident of Ansonia. She worked as the manager of the Hampton Inn Hotel of Milford for over 20 years, until the time of her retirement. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed watching old western movies and TV shows, as well as knitting and crocheting. Her laugh was infectious, and she possessed a special sense of humor that gave her the ability to make others laugh along with her. Mrs. Taylor will be long remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, helping to raise her cherished granddaughter, Talya Porretti. She is survived by her devotes sons, Frank Porretti of Ansonia and Jeffrey Porretti and his companion, Yaneth Pedraza, and her daughter, Kamila Garcia Pedraza, all of Cheshire; granddaughter, Talya Porretti and her companion, Juan Mena of Ansonia; cherished great-granddaughter, Ivy Menna of Ansonia; and a niece, Michele LaRiviere of West Haven. In addition to her husband of 42 years, she was predeceased by her sister, Cathy LaRiviere.
