Obituary of Donna M. Cirkot

Donna M. Cirkot, age 68, beloved wife of Donald J. Cirkot of Seymour, died peacefully on April 8, 2024 at the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven Health, with her family by her side.  Born in Derby on July 13, 1955, she was the daughter of the late George Arthur and Claire Stanford Marston.  Mrs. Cirkot was a lifelong Seymour resident and a 1973 graduate of Seymour High School.  She began her 20-year career in banking as a teller for the New Haven Savings bank and worked through the acquisitions of New Alliance Bank, First Niagara Bank, and lastly Key Bank, until the time of her retirement.  Mrs. Cirkot embroidered intricate needlepoint canvases as well as knitted & crocheted countless items for family and friends, that have now become treasured heirlooms.  She enjoyed tending to her outdoor gardens and indoor plantings that thrived under her care.

In addition to her husband of 44 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Kristen Cirkot of Beacon Falls and Art Cirkot of Naugatuck; a brother, Glenn Marston and his wife Joyce of MA; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was deceased by a sister, Patricia Sovitsky.  Funeral services will be private.  The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, is in care of arrangements.
