Obituary of Martha Madzik

MADZIK- Martha Madzik, age 78 of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Matthew Madzik, died April 29, 2010 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Bortne, Poland, on May 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Melania Zawodniak. Mrs. Madzik was a long time resident of Ansonia, avid gardener and member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Stratford. She is survived by her devoted children, Mary Madzik of Manchester and John Madzik of Beacon Falls. Funeral procession will take place on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Funeral Services will take place at 10:00 AM in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 1 Honeyspot Road, Stratford at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call on Sunday, May 2, 2010, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Panikhida Service will be held at 6:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Church.
