Obituary of Cameron Mark Sells
Cameron Mark Sells, age 25, beloved son of Ronald P. Sells, Jr. and Terri A. Stahl Sells of Ansonia, died tragically on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Known to most as “Cam,” he brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. His adventurous spirit and kind heart touched countless lives.
Cam was born in Bridgeport on August 26, 1998, was raised in Ansonia, and attended New Haven Magnet Schools, St. Joseph High School, and Springfield Commonwealth Academy (2018). As a talented and competitive athlete, Cam played a key role on the basketball team and was ranked fifth nationally. He was obviously gifted, as his talents were rooted in playing basketball at the Ansonia Boys & Girls Club, Ansonia Travel Basketball, and Upward Basketball at an early age. Upon graduation from high school, Cam attended the University of St. Joseph, West Hartford, CT, and later Toni & Guy of Newtown for barbering. Most recently, Cam was promoted to a foreman for the NPL Construction Company of Woodbridge, CT, and was a member of the Local #609 Union.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Nina Sample Sells of Bridgeport; his brothers, Ronald “Trey” P. Sells III and his wife, Kyra of Monroe, NC and Aaron J. Sells and his companion, Sabrina Velasquez of San Diego, CA; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, James H. and RuthAnn Mead Stahl; and his paternal grandfather, Ronald P. Sells, Sr.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vertical Church, 225 Meloy Road, West Haven, CT. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Cameron’s life will be held at 11:00 AM. The interment will be private. Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to the Joel E.
