As I can speak for my husband Deputy Chief Bruce Porzelt and for the entire Bridgeport Fire Department there can not be a sadder time than the loss of Steve and Michel. Everyone is just beside themselves and devastated. These were wonderful hard working firemen that gave their all and gave their lives for those in need. It doesn't get much better than that-true heroes in everyone's eyes. It has been a honor to know these men and my husband Bruce is overwhelmed with sadness and is so proud to have served with these wonderful men. God bless you all and your families. You have no idea the amount of firemen and their families that are grieving with you at this time. Such a dedicated community - the fireman - such a remarkable human being...
