Obituary of Theresa Klanko

KLANKO- Theresa "Terry" C. Klanko, age 69, beloved wife of Donald Klanko of Ansonia, died January 1, 2011, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born at home in Derby on April 1, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Madeline Esposito. Together with her husband, Mrs. Klanko owned and operated the Klanko's on Wakelee Ave., Ansonia, for 40 years until the time of their retirement. In addition to her husband of 47 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Donna Klanko of Ansonia and Richard Klanko of CA; a sister, Marie Esposito of FL; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a beloved son, Kevin Klanko. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia. Spring time interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby.
