Obituary of Joanne Hanley

HANLEY- Joanne C. Hanley, age 65 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the Lt. James J. Hanley BPD, died February 22, 2011 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 12, 1945 she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Zaczkowski Zuccalmaglio. Mrs. Hanley was a lifelong Bridgeport resident and worked as a cafeteria assistant at the Blackham Elementary School. She will be remembered for her love of shopping and her special love for her daughters and grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Dawn Hanley of Bridgeport and Jennifer Moniz of Monroe; a sister, Penny Dabrowski of Fairfield; a brother, Joseph Zuccalmaglio of FL; a sister-in-law, Sonia Zuccalmaglio of Trumbull; grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Matthew and Jonathon Hanley and Briana Moniz, Mackenzie and Geoffrey Benevides, Jr.; dear cousins, Denise and John Poppa of Bridgeport, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hanley was predeceased by a son-in-law, Kevin Moniz and a brother, Robert Zuccalmaglio. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 7:30 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call on Friday, from 4:00 to 7:30PM. Memorial donations are encouraged in care of the funeral director.
