Obituary of Amelia Juzwishen
JUZWISHEN-Amelia O. Juzwishen, age 88 of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Steven Juzwishen, died February 25, 2011 at the Hilltop Health Center, Ansonia with her son by her side. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, on November 16, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Martha Hoponick Onischuk. Mrs. Juzwishen was a lifelong member of Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church and Ansonia resident. She worked as a bookkeeper for the American Brass Co. and the City of Ansonia Finance department, until the time of her retirement. She is survived by her devoted son, Paul Juzwishen of Ansonia; a niece, Sarah Tramontana of Ansonia and a nephew, Philip Belko of Vancouver, BC. She was predeceased by sisters, Christina Belko and Eugenia Opekun. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 9:00AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM in Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia. Springtime interment will be in Three Saints Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM; Parastas will be at 6:00 PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church.
