Obituary of Sara Tuccio Towne

TUCCIO TOWNE- Sara Tuccio Towne, age 94 of Venice, FL, formerly of Ansonia, died January 3, 2011.  Born in Ansonia on December 4, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Louistro Tuccio.  Mrs. Towne resided in Ansonia for 60 years, before moving to Florida in 1977.  She worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 1981.  Mrs. Towne was an avid reader and a talented crossword puzzler. She is survived by her devoted son Thomas Mikulski and his wife, Elaine of FL; grandson, Charles Mikulski and his wife, Jennifer of FL and granddaughter, Laura Dillon and her husband, Thomas of IL; sisters, Lucy Millican and Connie Valentine, both of Ansonia, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. A celebration of Sara's life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Mitch Wanat officiating in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Inurnment will be private in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery, Derby.  Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, prior to service.
