Obituary of Martha Styfco
STYFCO- Martha (Kuziak) Styfco, 96, passed peacefully into God's care on September 5, 2011 at Gardner Heights Health Care Center, Shelton. She joins her husband Stanley, to whom she was married for 57 years. She was born March 15, 1915 in Ansonia, CT to the late Harry and Florence Tuz Kuziak. She was a lifelong resident of Ansonia before moving to Gardner Heights, where the caring staff made her happy for 10 years. She is survived by her sons, Stanley and his wife Sally, David and his wife, Marie, all of Beacon Falls, Robert and his wife Peggy of Northford and her sister Anne Hawter of Maryland. She also leaves six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister Helen Kubovic, sisters Esther Canfield and Alice Chucta, and brothers, Alex and John Kuziak. She was a petite lady with a huge heart. In her younger days she enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially her perfect apple pies. She was an avid bingo player and never missed a day of her favorite soap operas. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in the Church of the Assumption, 61 N. Cliff Street, Ansonia. Interment will be in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
