Obituary of Gladys Payne

PAYNE- Gladys Payne, age 86, beloved wife of Albert M. Payne of Shelton, died December 26, 2011 at Griffin Hospital. Born in New York City on September 5, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Florence Clark Jervis. A home maker, Mrs. Payne was formerly a resident of Woodbury for four years, prior she was resident of Seymour for many years and member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Seymour. In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Allison Payne of Ansonia; a brother, William Jervis and his wife, Adele of NJ; a sister, Audrey Pricher of WI; four cherished grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Spellmon; a brother and two sisters. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Church St., Seymour.
