Obituary of Estelle Klesyk

KLESYK- Estelle Klesyk, age 101 of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Edward Walter Klesyk, Sr., died peacefully on January 10, 2012 at the Bishop Wicke Health Care Center, Shelton. Born in Ansonia on November 24, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Elko and Elizabeth Tchanicz Felenchak. Mrs. Klesyk was a long time resident of Ansonia before moving to Monroe 14 years ago. She worked for the former B.F. Goodrich Co for over 20 years, until her retirement in 1972. She was an avid reader and home maker and enjoyed old world cooking. She is survived by her devoted children, Marie Elizabeth Klesyk of Monroe and Edward Walter Klesyk and his wife, Laraine of Shelton; two grandsons, two great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby.
