Obituary of Patricia Eaton

EATON-Patricia "Pat" Eaton, age 57 of Temple Terrace, FL, formerly of Ansonia, died May 5, 2012 at the LifePath Hospice, FL. Born in Derby on March 10, 1955, she was the daughter of Helen Eaton of Thomaston and the late Edward Earl Eaton. Ms. Eaton was a volunteer of the Ansonia Public Library, a 1972 graduate of Ansonia High School, 1976 graduate of UCONN and earned her Master's Degree in Computer Science from NJ Institute of Technology. She worked as an I.T. Specialist for the J.P. Morgan Chase Co. of FL for 25 years, until the time of her illness. Prior to her career at Chase, Ms. Eaton was self employed, owning and operating her own software training firm. She was a belly dancer and enjoyed square dancing, needle crafts and writing poetry. She was an avid dragon boater and often participated in rowing meets to raise funds for cancer awareness and survivors. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Shannon Gilkey and her husband, Ryan; cherished grandson, Andrew DeSellier; brothers, Edward Eaton and his wife, Liz of Thomaston and Daniel Eaton and his wife, Gale of Middlebury and sister, Marjorie Hawley and her husband, Tim of Middletown. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:00 AM, in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Interment will be private.
