Obituary of Barbara Sevcik

SEVCIK-Barbara Ann Sevcik, age 56, of Ansonia, died February 9, 2008, in Griffin Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Derby on January 7, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne E. Hartnett Sevcik. Miss. Sevcik was a graduate of Housatonic Community College and Southern CT University where she earned a BA Degree in Art. She was employed as a sales representative for the CT Maher Promotions, Inc. Co. of Shelton. Miss Sevcik was kind hearted and always took time to enjoy her family and friends. She is survived by her devoted sister, Linda Sevcik of Ansonia; a cherished niece, Brianna Lynne Sevcik of Ansonia; two aunts; as well as many cousins. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Assumption Church, 61 North Cliff St., Ansonia, on Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 10:00 AM. Springtime interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call on Friday, February 15, 2008, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.
