Obituary of Elizabeth Kondor

Kondor-Elizabeth Mary Kondor, age 87 of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Stephen C. Kondor, died March 1, 2009 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Stratford on January 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Macisco Sanzare. Mrs. Kondor was a lifelong Stratford resident and worked for the Park City Packaging Co. for 15 years until her retirement in 1987. She loved to cook for her family and will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Robert A. Kondor and his wife, Beverly of Seymour and Donald J. Kondor and his wife, Janice of FL; a brother, Vincent Sanzare and his wife, Gloria of NV; cherished grandchildren, Christine Proctor and her husband, Randy of Seymour, Robert K. Kondor and his wife, Tracie, of Shelton, Julie-Ann Kondor of CA, Amanda Hofflinger of FL, and Seth Kondor and his wife Jenna of TN, as well as 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Mary DeMito, and Lucy Mazzadra; and a brother, Louis Sanzare. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 8:15 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Rosary Church, Father Salemi Dr., Ansonia at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
