Obituary of Robert Slosser
SLOSSER- Robert R. Slosser, age 83 of Bristol, beloved husband of 60 years to the late Theresa M. Oleyar Slosser, died March 22, 2011 at his home, just three months beyond his wife's death. Born in Bridgeport on March 6, 1928, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Babey Slosser. Mr. Slosser was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and Shelton resident for over 30 years before moving to Bristol 10 years ago. He worked as an oil burner serviceman for many years for Hoffman Fuel, until his retirement. He is survived by his devoted children, Karen Dziubina and her husband, Walter of Ansonia, Ronald Slosser and his wife, Doreen of Bristol, Richard Slosser and his wife, Jackie of Shelton, Kenneth Slosser and his wife, Nellie of AZ and daughter-in-law, Colleen Slosser of Shelton; cherished grandchildren, Christopher and Michelle Dziubina, Jason and Victoria Dziubina, Justin, Johnna and Jonathan Slosser, Sharla and Lindsay Slosser; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Preston Dziubina. Mr. Slosser was predeceased by a son, Robert Slosser and a brother, Frank Slosser. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 8:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, Coram Ave., Shelton. Interment with Military Honors will be in Lawn Cemetery, Huntington.
