Obituary of Stephan Pisarczyk
Pisarczyk - Stephan Pisarczyk, age 80, beloved husband of Lucy Luba Zaniuk Pisarczyk of Seymour, died peacefully on December 25, 2012 in the comfort of his home. Born in Rychwald, Lemkowszczyna, Ukraine (now Poland), on May 25, 1932, he was the son of the late Jan and Maria Garan Pisarczyk. Mr. Pisarczyk immigrated to the U.S. in 1970 and settled in Shelton. In 1980 he moved to Seymour where he has since resided. Mr. Pisarczyk worked for the Anaconda-American Brass Co. for 26 years, until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed gardening, carpentry, woodworking and will be remembered for his strong and tireless work ethic. Mr. Pisarczyk was a devout member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. In addition to his wife of nearly 36 years (just 2 days shy), he is survived by his devoted children, John Pisarczyk of MA, Elizabeth Pisarczyk of PA and step-daughter, Eva Hendrick and her husband William of Seymour; a sister, Stefania Gebuza and her husband, Seman, of New Canaan; and brothers, Seman Pisarczyk and Michael Pisarczyk and his wife, Luba, of Ukraine; a cherished granddaughter, Grace Sophia Pisarczyk of MA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Peter Pisarczyk and sisters, Anna Mizansky and Emilia Pisarczyk. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Friday (TODAY), December 28, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Panikhida at 6:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul Church Preservation Fund.
