Obituary of Jolanta Alberska

ALBERSKA- Jolanta Alberska, age 56, beloved wife of Zbigniew Alberski of Derby, died peacefully on January 14, 2013 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Ropczyce, Poland on January 12, 1957. Mrs. Alberska was the daughter of Bronislaw Skiba of Poland and Maria Czapka Skiba of Derby. Mrs. Alberska was a self employed seamstress until the time of her illness. She immigrated from Poland in 1994 and settled in Bridgeport and Stratford, before moving to Derby in 2005. She enjoyed the outdoors, skiing and hiking were favorite activities; as well as traveling across Europe and the U.S. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church, Derby. In addition to her husband of 32 years, she is survived her cherished and devoted children, Karolina A. Alberski of Shelton and Bartosz L. Alberski of Derby; brothers, Witold Skiba of NJ, Boguslaw (Monika) Skiba of Shelton, and Andrzej (Malgorzata) Skiba of Poland; and 4 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 18, 2013, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, January 17, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home.
