Obituary of Martha Binkowski
Martha Ozinsky Binkowski, 86, passed away on April 23, 2013 at the Summit at Plantsville surrounded by her family. She was born April 27, 1926 to the late Alton and Anna Ozinsky of Ansonia. She was married to John Binkowski and lived in Derby most of her life. John and Martha were married for 63 years. Martha loved the outdoors and could often be seen walking near her beloved home in Derby. She passed this love of the outdoors to her loving children. Her family was her love and joy and enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was well known by the staff and residents of the Summit for her ease in engaging everyone in conversation. Martha is survived by her children and their spouses; Joan and Tim Barnard of Southington, John Jr. and Mary of Bethany and Raymond and Marge of Beacon Falls. She also leaves her grandchildren Julia, Christopher, Adam, Jay, Raymond, Kevin and her great grandson Wyatt. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Ozinsky of Stratford and her very special niece Sandy Mazza. Martha was predeceased by her brothers; Alexander, Walter and her sister Helen. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Summit at Plantsville for their caring support during her residence. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Monday, April 29, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Preservation Fund of Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
