Obituary of Pauline Babonis

Pauline May Babonis, age 100, of Danville, PA, formerly of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Peter E. Babonis, died peacefully in her home on May 25, 2013. Born in Seymour on October 17, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Ignacious and Pauline Ann Teretskawitch Wailonis. Mrs. Babonis was a Communicant of St. Anthony Church and long time Ansonia resident before moving to PA in 2007. Her interests included all family activities, needlework and gardening. She is survived her sons, Dr. Thomas R. Babonis and his wife Barbara of PA, and Gerald D. Babonis and his wife Helen of NH; 10 cherished grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by a son Edward Babonis and his wife Jane; five brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 PM in St. Anthony Church, 199 North Main St., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
