Obituary of Marjorie Worobel

Marjorie Worobel, age 97 of Ansonia, died peacefully on December 30, 2013 at Griffin Hospital. Born in New Haven on October 4, 1916, she was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church and a longtime Ansonia resident. Ms. Worobel worked as a nurse for the former SNET Co. for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and SNET Retirees Club. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia. Springtime interment will take place in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul Preservation Fund. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia is in care of arrangements.
