Obituary of Ann K. Bogusz
Ann K. Bogusz, 84, of Seymour passed away April 15, 2014 at CT Hospice, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Ansonia on September 14, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph and Louise Hurman Kuczynski. Mrs. Bogusz was a graduate of Ansonia High School 1945 and then married the late Henry W. Bogusz in 1950. They resided in Seymour for the majority of their lives. She had been employed as a deli manager for several supermarkets before retiring and switching careers to work as a file clerk at Genox/Amhealth of Stratford. In her retirement, Ann worked for the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home as Polish translator and receptionist. She was an artist, as well as an experienced baker, gardener, and homemaker. Mrs. Bogusz was a Communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour since its founding in 1970. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Susan Guliuzza of Ansonia; Lisa Kleinkopf and Dr. Harris L. Kleinkopf of Glastonbury; her “adopted children”, Patricia Krause of Stratford and Al Nemec of Shelton. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jeanette Manfredi and her husband Danny Brown of FL; Colin Manfredi and his companion, Kaylee Purvis of New London and Zachary Kleinkopf of FL. Additionally, she leaves behind a great-grandson, Weston Manfredi Brown of FL; her sister, Helen K. Mis of Beacon Falls; a brother-in-law, sisters-in-laws and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Henry, she was predeceased by a son, Paul Bogusz. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 10:30 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour. Interment will directly follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday Morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, prior to Mass.
