Obituary of Anna Turaj

TURAJ- Anna Michrina Turaj, age 89, of Lancaster, NH, wife of the late Joseph J. Turaj, died August 4, 2014. Born in Shelton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Sipay Michrina. Mrs. Turaj was a homemaker and Shelton resident most of her life, before moving to New Hampshire 13 years ago. She is survived by her devoted sons, Steven Turaj and his wife Deborah of NH and Thomas Turaj and his wife Judith of Shelton; 6 cherished grandchildren, Cynthia Warhola and her husband Michael, Daniel Turaj and his wife Ashley, Katherine Turaj, Stephanie, Douglas and Michael Turaj; a cherished great-grandson, Logan Turaj; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Turaj was predeceased by a sister, Marie Neff and brothers, Vladimir, Joseph and George Michrina. Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 8, 2014, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 to 9:45 AM, prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
