Obituary of Frank J. Piechota
PIECHOTA- Frank Joseph Piechota, age 42 of Ansonia, died peacefully on September 26, 2014 at Yale-New Haven Hospital following a long illness. Born in Derby on November 8, 1971, he was the son and stepson of Katherine Vitello Biela and Joseph Biela of Ansonia. Mr. Piechota was a 1990 Graduate of Ansonia High School and a Graduate of the CT School of Broadcasting. He worked as an automechanic for the former Express Lube Co. of Milford, for many years. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and he was a lifelong NY Yankees fan; Frank found great joy in watching Derek Jeter’s last home game. In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his devoted sisters, Lauren and Jennifer Biela of Ansonia and Michele (Ken) Donnelly of Seymour; cherished niece and nephew, Arabella Tringas and Marcus Butler, both of Ansonia. He was predeceased by his father Joseph Piechota. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett St., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, September 28, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in care of the funeral home.
