Obituary of Jean F. Chrzanowski
CHRZANOWSKI - Jean F. Chrzanowski, age 68, beloved wife of John Chrzanowski of Derby, died peacefully at Griffin Hospital on March 11, 2015 with her family by her side. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA on November 30, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve Lipka Kudrak. Mrs. Chrzanowski was a longtime resident of Derby and 1964 graduate of Derby High School. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for the Marshall Lane Health Care Center for 18 years and the ADP Corp. for 11 years, until the time of her retirement. Mrs. Chrzanowski’s passion was baking and cooking, always making her home a special place to enjoy the holidays or just a simple evening with her family. Together with her family she loved to camp and appreciated life in the outdoors. Some of her fondest memories were of the four Caribbean Cruises she embarked upon over the years. She was a collector of chotchke’s and her colorful personality can be sought in each piece throughout her home. She was also considered “G-ma C” by many who loved to spent time with her. In addition to her husband of 48 years, she is survived by her devoted sons, Jon (Jodi) Chrzanowski of Ansonia and Justin Chrzanowski of SD; a sister-in-law, Carole Clark of Seymour; cherished granddaughters, Senia and Natalee Chrzanowski of Ansonia; special and dear friends Kevin & Darlene Sawe of Burlington; a brother, Joseph (Rosemary) Kudrak of MD; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 16, 2015, at 6:00 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call on Monday, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, prior to the service.
