Obituary of Albert M. Payne

PAYNE- Albert M. Payne, age 87 of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Gladys Jervis Payne, died peacefully on Good Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Hewitt Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Chattanooga, TN, he was the son of the late Marion A. and Dena Rose Payne. Mr. Payne was a long time resident of Seymour, a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and worked as an Electronics Technician for the Philips Medical Co. of Shelton for many years, prior to his retirement. Mr. Payne loved music, especially Frank Sinatra and watching war time documentaries. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Allison Payne of Ansonia; cherished grandchildren, Katie (Thomas) Nicholson of MA, Krystal Kobluskie of Ansonia, Richard Kelly of FL and Stacy Gianpaolo of Ansonia; great-grandchildren, Ava and Lily Nicholson of MA, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Spellman and a sister, Edna Avallone. A graveside service will take place on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 12:00 Noon, in the Pine Grove Cemetery, 15 Church Street Ansonia.
