Obituary of Olga Zavednak

Zavednak-Olga T. Zavednak, age 94, of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Walter A. Zavednak, died January 12, 2009, in Griffin Hospital, Derby. Born in Bridgeport on October 25, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Fetcho Tabak. Mrs. Zavednak was a homemaker and long time member of Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church. She is survived by her devoted children, David Zavednak and his wife, Irene of Northford and Mary Zavednak of North Branford; a cherished granddaughter Stacey Lombardi and her husband, Charles III of Durham. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Mildred Horischak, Anna Kozulko, Mary and Helen Tabak; and brothers, John, Nicholas, Vladimir and Walter. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 8:30 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Parastas Services will be held at 9:30 AM. A Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 AM in Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
