Obituary of Yvonne Cooper

Cooper- Yvonne V. Cooper, age 74, of Ansonia, died February 27, 2009 in Griffin Hospital, Derby. Born in Trinidad, West Indies, on September 7, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Dora Carter LeBrun. Mrs. Cooper was a home maker and enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her devoted children, Wayne Johnson of Canada, Peter Johnson of Trinidad, Joanne Johnson of MD and Leisa Batson of Ansonia; 2 brothers; 8 sisters; 18 cherished grandchildren as well as 14 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Yvonne's life will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 6:30 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Interment will be private.
