Obituary of Mary Bernardino
BERNADINO, Mary Bernardino, age 95 of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Bernardino, died October 17, 2007 in Griffin Hospital. Born on February 20, 1912 in Ansonia, she was the daughter of the late Wasil and Barbara Potsky Haluschak. Mrs. Bernardino worked in the packaging department of Cadbury-Peter Paul Co. of Naugatuck for 24 years until her retirement in 1967. She was a member of the Derby and Ansonia Senior Centers, CWV Ladies Aux. Post 1677, a lifelong parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Sts. Peter and Paul Ladies Guild and the L.U.C. Survivors include a nephew, Paul J. Haluschak Jr. and his fianc, Ruthann Oles, of Seymour, a niece, Linda Hayducky and her husband, John of Seymour and a cherished great-nephew, John Hayducky of Seymour. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Metro, John, Andrew, Paul and Stephen Haluschak; and sisters, Anne Rose Haluschak, Nancy Haluschak, and Julia Mary Kapusta of Derby, CT. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 9:15 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia, on Monday, October 22, 2007, at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Sunday, October 21, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul Preservation Fund.
