Obituary of Lynn Ann Ortoli
Lynn Ann Ortoli, age 72, beloved wife of Fred Ortoli of Oxford, died peacefully at the Joel E. Smilow Heart Institute at Bridgeport Hospital on January 17, 2020, with her family by her side. Born in Stratford on December 30, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Louis Baker. Mrs. Ortoli was raised in Ansonia and was a 1965 graduate of Ansonia High School. She studied accounting in college and worked for the former CT National Bank, Farrel Corporation, as well as IBM and lastly, the Valley United Way, where she was an Administrative Assistant until the time of her retirement in 2015. Her favorite “sport” was shopping- especially for clothing and her favorite thing to “make” for dinner were reservations! Lynn enjoyed dining out; she made finding new eateries an adventure as well as she enjoyed patronizing her local favorites. She loved the energy and atmosphere of the casinos where she reveled in the hypnotizing hum of her favored slot machines. Lynn appreciated music, mainly a fan of Motown Artists such as Smokey Robinson, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Frankie Valli and Lionel Richie. In addition to her husband of 33 years, she is survived by a devoted niece, Taryn (Linden) Fry of Washington D.C.; great-nephew, Matthew Fry and a great-niece, Katharine Fry, both of Washington, D.C.; and brothers-in-law, David (Dale) Ortoli of Wallingford and Ronald (Naishia) Ortoli of Sedona, AZ. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at 6:30 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM, prior to the service.
