Obituary of Martha M. Padilla

Martha M. Padilla, age 79, wife of Victor L. Padilla of Seymour, died peacefully on April 14, 2020 at the Gardner Heights Health Care Center, Shelton. Born in Derby on March 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph John and Helen Maston Mihalcik. Mrs. Padilla was a social butterfly! She enjoyed reading and shared many memorable trips to Vermont with her daughters. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted daughters, Bonnie (Robert) Benevides and Debra (Daniel Ott) MacConnie; sisters, Julia Cronan and Catherine Katomski; a brother, Michael Mihalcik; a special niece, Chris Vartko; a lifelong friend, Maryann Borgesano; a former co-worker and friend Pauline Wischert as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Blakely and brothers, Joseph and Steven Mihalcik. Funeral services are private.
