Obituary of Vincent J. Ceccarelli

Vincent J. Ceccarelli, age 96, beloved husband of Elaine Faustine Ceccarelli of Shelton, died peacefully on August 10, 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Stratford on October 1, 1924, he was the son of the late Joseph and Caroline Scosta Ceccarelli. Mr. Ceccarelli was a Graduate of Stratford High School and a proud U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He worked as a truck driver for the former Cutrufello’s of Stratford for over 40 years, until the time of his retirement in 2004. Mr. Ceccarelli was a “jack of all trades” and skilled handyman, often using his talents around not only his home, but for friends, relatives and neighbors. He enjoyed singing and would occasionally harmonize with his brothers at family events. He relished a good card game and made many trips to the casinos. In addition to his wife of 42 years, he is survived by his children, James (Kathleen) F. Ceccarelli of Stratford and Nadine (Robert) Parzick of CO; stepchildren; Lorraine Horn of MA, Dianna Giampa of Fairfield and Anthony Giampa of Orange; a brother, Alfred (Jessie) Ceccarelli of Sandy Hook; cherished grandchildren, Katie Ceccarelli of Stamford, Kelley Ceccarelli of CO, Alexis Snyder and Sam Horn of MA, Serena and Anthony Dean of Orange, Chad and Chandler Sullivan of Manhattan; and great-grandchildren, Rowan Snyder of MA and Jackson and Patrick Horn of MA. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Palonis and brothers, John, Americo, and Edward Ceccarelli. A graveside service will take place on Monday, August 17, 2020, at 2:00 PM in Huntington Lawn Cemetery, Lane St., Huntington.
