Obituary of Daniel Frank Howard
Daniel F. Howard, age 30 of Ansonia, died peacefully on August 8, 2020 at Griffin Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Derby on August 27, 1989, he was the beloved son of Tina M. Ranno of Ansonia and Barry (Shannon) Howard of Ansonia. Dan was a lifelong resident of Ansonia and was a 2007 graduate of Emmet O’Brien High School. He was the owner and operator of his own business, providing stage and special event lighting for musical productions. Dan’s passion in life was music and he was always eager for the next concert or chance to listen to his friends play. He found great peace in the outdoors and enjoyed a long hike. Dan lived life to the fullest and genuinely enjoyed life’s simplest pleasures that are often overlooked; taking in a sunset, looking up at the stars, and literally dancing in the rain. His outgoing and heartfelt personality found a way to make everything fun in his life and the lives of those around him. Dan will be long remembered for his endearing spirit, his ability to bring joy to all, and his love and enthusiasm for life and all its beauty. In addition to his parents, Dan is survived by his best friend and sister, Amy Tillie (Andrew) Lavoie of Sandy Hook; a half sister, Megan Riley of Ansonia; maternal grandparents, Pop-Pop Michael (Susan) Ranno of Ansonia and paternal grandparents, Poppie R.J. (Grammie Doris) Howard of Ansonia; as well as his girlfriend, Adreanna, many cousins and countless friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Mom-Mom Mary T. Ranno. Dan had his own style and flair in everything he ever did so his farewell will be just that.
