Obituary of Carolyne F. James

Carolyne F. James, age 72 of Monroe, died peacefully on June 27, 2020, surrounded by dear friends at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport.  Born in England on September 17, 1947, she immigrated to the U.S. and relocated to California, Newtown and Monroe where she resided for 20 years.  Ms. James worked as a medical secretary for over 20 years for Danbury Dermatologist, Dr. William Notaro, until the time of her retirement.  Carolyne had many interests, but first and foremost, she was a passionate animal lover, caring for her own pets, as well as other animals.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed long conversations about world news.  Carolyne liked to work in her garden, solve crossword puzzles and enjoy a good laugh in the company of friends in her favorite restaurants. She will be long remembered as a kind and loyal individual who kept her home country of England close to her heart.  She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 12 2020 at 4:00 PM in Stepney Cemetery, 21 Pepper Street, Monroe.  Memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of CT, 359 Spring Hill Rd, Monroe, CT 06468.
