Obituary of Antonina Kovaleski

Antonina Kovaleski, age 71 of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Ronald Kovaleski, died peacefully on October 17, 2020 at Griffin Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Henrykow, Poland on February 10, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Boleslaw and Jozefa Florianowicz Lojko.  Mrs. Kovaleski worked as an accountant in Poland for many years until immigrating to the United States in 1992.  She then worked as an inspector for the former Latex Foam Co. and Caspari Inc. as an assembler, where she retired from in 2014.  Mrs. Kovaleski lived her life to cook and entertain her family and friends.  She hosted countless holiday celebrations by preparing her favorite dishes (including her famous pierogi) as well as small family gatherings, where she enjoyed a good game of cards.  Antonina was an avid gardener and generously shared the fruits of her labor for all to enjoy.  She will be long remembered for her heart of gold, endless energy, gratitude for life, love, devotion for her family and positive spirit.  She is survived by her devoted daughters, Dorota Trojak of Fairfield, CT and Beata Pieciukiewicz of Brooklyn, NY; step-children, Mark Kovaleski of Seymour, Karla Kovaleski of TN and Kym Kovaleski of FL; cherished grandson, Oliver Binienda of Fairfield; step-grandchildren, Gwendelyn Kovaleski of TX and Nikki (Chris) Galpin of Torrington; sisters, Leokadia (Czeslaw) Flerianowicz of Oxford, Grazyna (Jozef) Dracz of Canada and Anna (Piotr) Bialoszewska of Canada; sister-in-law, Krystna Lojko of Poland; as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers, Jozef and Leszek Lojko and a sister, Teresa Lojko. Family and friends are invited to attend a walk through visitation at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.  Please be advised that all protocol, screening and social restrictions of the Covid-19 Pandemic will be exercised.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Avenue, Derby. Antonina Kovaleski, corka Boleslawa i Jozefy Lojko, urodzona w Henrykowie  10-go lutego 1949 roku, zona niezyjacego Ronalda Kovaleskiego, zmarla w pokoju 17-go pazdziernika, 2020 roku w wieku 71 lat. Antonina pracowala w Polsce jako ksiegowa przez wiele lat zanim wyemigrowala do Stanow Zjednoczonych w 1992 roku. Tam pracowala w fabryce Latex, a nastepnie w firmie Caspari, z ktorej przeszla na emeryture w 2014 roku. Antonina byla bardzo rodzinna, uwielbiala gotowac, zapraszac gosci i przygotowywac swoje specjaly kulinarne (najbardziej slynela z jej pierogow i ciasta z polewa jagodowa). Jednym z jej hobby bylo granie w karty w tysiaca i rozwiazywanie sudoku. Byla rowniez zapalonym ogrodnikiem, hojnie dzielila sie swoimi zbiorami z rodzinna i bliskimi.  Zawsze bedzie pamietana za jej zlote serce, niewyczerpana energie, wdziecznosc za zycie, milosc i poswiecenie rodzinie. Zawsze pozostanie gleboko w sercu i w pamieci corek Doroty Trojak, Beaty Pieciukiewicz, ukochanego wnuka Olivera Biniendy, pasierba Marka Kovaleskiego oraz calej najblizszej rodziny i bliskich.  Rodzina i znajomi sa zaproszeni na ostatnie pozegnanie w Domu Pogrzebowym Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, pod adresem 167 Wakelee Avenue, w Ansoni, w sobote 24-go pazdziernika 2020 roku od godziny 9:00 do 11:00 rano.  Informujemy ze wszelkie protokoly i ograniczenia spoleczne zwiazane z Covid 19 beda zastosowane.
