Obituary of Thomas E. Krajewski
Thomas Edward Krajewski, age 75 of Trumbull, beloved husband of Carmel Ginicola Krajewski, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on November 15, 1944, he was the son of the late Walter and Anastasia Skuches Krajewski. Mr. Krajewski was raised in Bridgeport, a graduate of Central High School and diesel mechanic school, becoming a certified diesel mechanic. He was a proud U.S. Army Reserve Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a Master Mechanic and Service Manager at GMC Trucks for 25 years and then worked for the Bridgeport Fire Department for over 5 years, until the time of his retirement. Mr. Krajewski’s passion was drag racing. He enjoyed many years racing at the CT Dragway, Dover Dragway, Englishtown, NJ as well as many other tracks. Mr. Krajewski loved fishing and hunting and will be long remembered for helping others in their time of need.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his devoted children, Scott Krajewski of Fairfield and Kendal Krajewski of Monroe; cherished grandchildren, Sgt. Giani Krajewski, USMC, Camp Lejeune, NC, Noah James Biggar of Monroe, and Nicholas Terafay Krajewski of Ansonia. He was predeceased by brothers, Leonard, Robert and Raymond Krajewski
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at 12:00 PM in St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton. Entombment will follow with Full Military Honors in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends are invited to attend a walk-through visitation at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, prior to Mass on Saturday morning from 9:00 – 11:30 AM.
