Obituary of Angela Curas

Angela Curas, age 92 of New Haven, died peacefully on December 29, 2020 at the Regency House of Wallingford Health Care Center.  Born in Stamford on November 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Demetrios and Eleni Salenikas Curas. Ms. Curas was raised in Lynn, Massachusetts & Stamford, Connecticut and attended Stamford High School. She worked as a court stenographer for the State of CT Judicial Court System for many years, until the time of her retirement.  In her younger years, Ms. Curas was an aspiring fashion model and talented photographer.  She was a lover of all animals, especially fond of her feline companions.   She is survived by nieces and nephews, Christina Curas, Elaine Curas, John and Lucas Petrone and Rose Petrone Vozzella; a cousin & best friend, Jeane Saleniras and dear friends, Tonia Speringo, Kim Korwek, Kevin Garrity, Fred White, Bill Goldberg, and Atty. Gregory Stamos of Ansonia.   In addition to her parents, Ms. Curas was predeceased by a brother, Chris Curas.  Funeral services and interment in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven, are private.  The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, is in care of arrangements.
