Obituary of Paul Drake

Paul Drake, age 87, of NC, formerly of Oxford, beloved husband of the late Shirley E. Brushitis Drake, died peacefully on April 14, 2021 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. Born in New Haven on October 23, 1933, he was the Son of the late Herbert and Anna Drake. Mr. Drake was raised in Seymour, a graduate of Seymour High School and a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.  A 38-year resident of Oxford, he retired from the Kerite Company following many years of employment before moving to North Carolina 15 years ago. Mr. Drake is survived by his devoted son, Paul K. Drake and his wife, Katherine of Concord, NC; cherished grandchildren, Justin and Kyle Drake of NC; as well as several nieces and nephews.   In addition to his wife of 53 years, he was predeceased by a brother, Herbert “Bun” Drake.  Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia.  Interment with Military Honors will follow in Sts.
