Obituary of Walter Uhelsky
UHELSKY- Walter Uhelsky, age 50, of Oxford, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at Griffin Hospital. Born in Derby on September 30, 1958, he was the beloved son of Joseph and Olga Sokoli Uhelsky of Seymour. Mr. Uhelsky was a lifelong Valley resident and a 1976 Graduate of Seymour High School. He worked as a sheet metal fabricator for 30 years for the Sikorsky Co., until the time of his illness. Mr. Uhelsky was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing, as well as a baseball and football enthusiast. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his cherished daughters, Megan A. and Kellyn N. Uhelsky, both of Seymour; a sister, Irene Uhelsky of Oxford; and his former spouse, Robin Stebbins Uhelsky of Seymour. He was predeceased by a brother, Philip Uhelsky. A Funeral Service will be held in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia, on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be Three Saints Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00PM, Parastas Service at 6:00 PM.
