Obituary of Esther Honas Angelini

Esther Honas Angelini, age 89 of Middlefield, died peacefully at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown on September 15, 2021. Born in Shelton on November 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Alexandra Warion Honas.  Mrs. Angelini was a graduate of Shelton High School and worked as a nurse’s aide at Griffin Hospital, until taking her leave to concentrate on raising her family.  She was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ansonia and enjoyed embroidery, cooking and most importantly, caring for her family.  She is survived by her devoted children, Holly Marie Angelini of Middlefield, Joseph C. Angelini of Hamden, Peter A. (Susan) Angelini of Wolcott, Paul A. Angelini and Richard A. Angelini, both of Hamden.  She was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters.  Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia.  Interment will follow in Sts.
