Obituary of Steven Salemme

SALEMME-Steven J. Salemme, age 38 of Winsted, formerly of Meriden, died October 8, 2009 at the Spencer Hill Community Home, Winsted. Born in Derby on October 9, 1970, he was the son of John M. Salemme and his wife, Mary of FL and the late Ardath J. Frasier Salemme. Steven attended the Ripton School of Shelton until 1991 and was active in the Special Olympics. He was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan and former 10 year resident of Lydale Place of Meriden. In addition to his father and stepmother, he is survived by his brothers and sisters, Jan M. DiMauro and her husband, Joseph of Derby, Debra Diotalevi and her husband, Ronnie of Derby, John J. Salemme of Shelton, Jeanann Salemme of NJ, and Deidra Salemme and her companion,, Bob Burgess of Shelton; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a brother David Salemme and sister, Ardath Salemme. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, October 12, 2009, at 11:00 AM, in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
