Obituary of Carl Reese

Carl Reese, age 63 of Derby, died peacefully on November 12, 2021 at the Shady Knoll Health Care Center with his cherished niece by his side.  Born in New Orleans, LA, he was the son of the late Carl Sydney and Lera Kinnaird Reese. Mr. Reese was a member of the Valley Social Club and made many friends through the BH Care program. He enjoyed painting and working on arts & crafts projects. Music was his greatest joy and he especially liked listening to the oldies. He will be long remembered for his great sense of humor and for his special love for his family. He is survived by his devoted niece, with whom he resided; a sister, Mary Reese Ohordorff of South Carolina; nieces, Sabrina (Daryl Michael) Reese of Derby, Monica Reese of NY, Luisa (Danny) Cruz of Ansonia; and a nephew, Jason Feliciano; as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Irajean Reese.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 4:30 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.
