Obituary of Leonard J. Tomasheski, Jr.
Leonard J. Tomasheski, Jr., age 58, of Oxford, died peacefully on November 29, 2021 at Griffin Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Derby on May 10, 1963, he was the beloved son of Constance Smarz Tomasheski of Oxford and the late Leonard J. Tomasheski, Sr. Mr. Tomasheski was a lifelong resident of Oxford and a graduate of Emmett O’Brien Vocational Technical High School, Ansonia. He worked as a skilled mechanic for the DATTCO Motorcoach Co. of New Britain for nearly 20 years. Mr. Tomasheski was an avid boater and fisherman, he was also movie buff - he especially enjoyed the Star Wars and Marvel Comics movies. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his devoted son, Leonard J. Tomasheski, III of Oxford; a sister, Joelle (Anthony) A. Duncan of TN; a cherished grandson, Zachary Tomasheski of FL; a niece, Anielle C. Duncan and nephew, Clint Duncan, both of TN. Funeral services will take place from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church of the Good Shepherd Campus of St. Nicholas Parish, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
