Obituary of Helen Sadlon
Helen Sadlon, age 96, of Gilbert, AZ (formerly of Shelton), beloved wife of the late Walter Sadlon, died peacefully at the Banner Desert Medical Center, Mesa, AZ on December 15, 2021. Born in Bridgeport on May 24, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Rabik Bashar. Mrs. Sadlon was raised in Bridgeport, a home maker, and Shelton resident for many years, until moving to Arizona in 2011. She was a member of St. Michael Church, Derby and together with her husband, sister, Irene Bashar Panuczak and her husband, Francis “Pooch” Panuczak, could often be found enjoying Polish festivals, Polka dances and various church functions. She will be long remembered for her special love and dedication to her family. She is survived by her devoted children, Patricia A. Juhasz and her husband, Frank “Ronnie” of Casa Grande, AZ and Gary W. Sadlon and his wife, Elaine of Gilbert, AZ; sister, Irene (Francis “Pooch”) Panuczak of Shelton; cherished grandchildren, Eric Juhasz and his wife, Evana of Naugatuck, Todd Juhasz and his wife, Anna of Ft. Collins, CO, Brian and Michelle Sadlon, both of Gilbert, AZ; great-grandchildren, Hunter Juhasz, Evelyn Juhasz, and Mara Sadlon; a sister-in-law, Anna Bashar of South Carolina; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband of 68 years, she was predeceased by a sister, Ann Bashar and brothers, Peter, George, Michael, and John Bashar. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Avenue, Derby. Interment in St. John Cemetery, Stratford.
